Hi Friend,
Quite the contrary: the genre held on to its lead position (together with Romance) on the Kindle platform.
Interestingly, Amazon just added a new sub-category to MTS, on the same level as Crime Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, and Thrillers:
Mystery, Thriller & Suspense > Science Fiction
I am not sure that I see a clear rationale for that. And when you click on the browse path, it defaults back to a Crime & Mystery bestseller list within the Sci-fi & Fantasy branch.
Anyway, perhaps Dean Koontz, who went exclusive with Amazon for some of his stories, has lobbied for such a category. ;-)
Let's move on to the main news. Virtually all (90 percent) of the existing main MTS categories continue to be in the "green zone" of attractive markets on our K-lytics Book Strategy Map.
Therefore, I am thrilled to announce the launch of the latest K-lytics Mystery, Thriller & Suspense market report.
The report also includes Level 4 and Level 5 sub-categories. In total, it contains 135 Kindle sub-markets.
If you plan any book project with elements of mystery, thriller, suspense, or crime in the second half of 2021, this study is for you.
Find out about trends, sales development, book supply, the best categories, up-trending markets, covers, top authors, publishers, high-volume keywords, proven price points, Kindle Unlimited vs. Non-KU performance, and more. The seminar comes with two reports and my explanatory video.
With this data, you will have more market insights than most publishers out there.
