Subject: Is "clean" the new "dirty"?

Hi Friend,

...well, maybe "clean" is the new "dirty"—not when it comes to the use of language but when talking about sales trends.

Am I making any sense? Consider this:

We all know there is a huge market for "steamy" romance e-books on Kindle. Fair enough.

But search interest on Google for Erotic Literature has dropped by more than 60% over the last five years.
By contrast, "Clean & Wholesome" is the romance category that has experienced an extraordinary sales growth. In fact, its e-book sales have increased by a factor of more than 8 in the two years since the introduction of the category by Amazon!

Sounds exciting? Yes! – Clean Romance sells. It represents a clear counter-movement to the steamy, "Fifty Shades Of Grey" type of novels. There are a lot of romance readers out there who prefer to buy "clean" reads.

This is not to say that other Romance markets are bad. I simply want to make the point that there is a market to serve. And unlike many other Romance genres, Clean Romance is not overcrowded yet.

We have been monitoring this trend for a while now and proudly present our latest seminar:

THE CLEAN ROMANCE MARKET 2018 (with bonus material)
