EROTICA REPORT - PREVIEW

Wow - I would not have thought that. 

The report is just about to be finished - but I found something interesting that merits a preview.

I thought that Erotica is a big thing on Kindle. Don't we see all those Erotic novels and short stories left, right and center? 

Well, I am not so sure anymore. At least many of those books I thought I saw do not seem to get categorized in Kindle book categories that have anything to do with "Erotica" or "erotic". That could be one explanation. Or I just had a wrong impression of what I actually saw in the Kindle shop.

The graph above shows all the Erotica sub- and sub-sub-categories plotted vs the Romance one. Erotica is red; Romance is yellow.

Conclusion: Romance categories clearly outsell Erotica.

Am I the only one who is surprised?
