There are a couple of reasons why I ask: - I asked myself that question way too few times during the year
- Let us 'properly' conclude 2015 before we talk about 2016
- If you are on course and achieving your goals, you should celebrate the accomplishments AND find out what your successful actions were so that you can repeat and expand in the next year. Don't change anything. Find out what worked and re-enforce it.
- If you are close to achieving your goals but not quite there, you better hurry up. You can still do it. There are 15 days left in 2015! Wasn't it the former track and field athlete Carl Lewis who always won with last strides of the race? If you are close to winning, you better go for it and win.
- If you nowhere near accomplishing your goals for this year, I recommend that you sit down and work out why. Do not enter into 2016, drinking a glass of Champagne and making New Year's resolution without "cleaning up" 2015. I know, that is tough, but now is the time. No, do not tell yourself what 'others' or 'the environment' did to you to make you fail. Face-up to it. What did you do that you should not have done? What did not you do but should have? Be honest with yourself. Then, and only then, make your plan for 2016.
So what are your thoughts? I would love to learn from your experience. 1) What was your biggest achievement this year?
2) What was your most successful action in 2015 that you can share with others?
