21 December Solstice and Festive Specials! |

'Tis the season of light!
It's really quite festive at the moment, with streets and house adorned with strings multi-coloured lights. In fact, the tradition of using lights during this season is a winter solstice association that predates
Christianity and the celebration of Christmas. The practice dates back to ancient civilizations where people lit fires and
candles to chase away the darkness of long winter nights, and celebrate the rebirth of the
sun. The Roman festival of Saturnalia, held in late December, featured
candles and small oil lamps to honor the god Saturn.
As Christianity spread, early Christians adopted various pagan
traditions to help convert and assimilate communities. The date of
Christmas was strategically chosen to coincide with existing
celebrations, and the symbolism of light was incorporated into Christian
practices - the lights became symbolic of the return of 'Divine Light' in the world.
It is a time of truly celebrating light - the light and illumination of YOU.
We're certainly going to need the extra lightness of being moving forward from
this solstice based on the emerging energetic topics and influences!
There
are a number of themes setting the tone for the next 3 months to the
equinox all facilitating greater collective awakening (if people choose
to awaken to their own light, that is!). We are all facing these influences to a greater or
lesser degree, and they include :
- Major reality checks
- Heightened psychic sensitivity (and those around us who are more disconnected from themselves may find this quite disturbing)
-
Extreme polarisation fuelled by rage which is likely to be directed at
others (and which we may also be the recipient of). While this has been
prevalent over the past few months, it is likely to be even more
amplified.
- A need for deep discernment in the desire for Truth (AI
influences stepping up, the now ubiquitous misinformation attempts, MSM
vs independent media and so on)
- Personal Sovereignty and finding your own way
- Finding ever more simple pathways to the 'silent ground of your own being'
- Greatly expanded understandings of Love : Universal, Collective (without being wishy-washy!)
- Choices to live and act from Fear or Love
- The importance of where and what you choose to focus on for 2025, as whatever you choose will be greatly expanded.
