Subject: 🟢🏇A Big Weekend Ahead

Good Afternoon, Friend

A big weekend ahead for our horses, three runners in four days...

First up, the less said about my Newmarket poke yesterday the better, I am due a few duffers after a very profitable three weeks (80-85% of all picks lose of course), but even so, that was poor! Mistrosonfire was anything but, alas. Also note, there's no free column from Sam Darby this week...

My focus this weekend is on all things 'Racing To Profit Syndicates' with Kaleb (tonight, 7.23 Bangor), Tequila Rose (2.15 Newmarket tomorrow) and Getaway Glory (Monday, Worcester) all in action. If you could cheer them on, that would be appreciated!

The above photo was an early one, when we only had 2-3 horses in training, we've now got 10, soon to be 11 with another future chaser at Greenall & Guerriero's. We've now got a 170 strong team of owners, with 25-45 per horse, some paying as little as £28 per month. We've had x5 winners this year from around 35 runners , many 2nds and 3rds, and we can't wait to get back in the winners' enclosure, hopefully this weekend! 74% of all our runners have been in the top 5 this year.

Kaleb - he was our first ever winner and got back in the winners' enclosure when last seen, winning well. We hope there's more to come, as Amy has worked out how to keep his mind fresh at home, in-form when his work-riders can't keep hold of him, and that appears to be the case again. It's his first spin around Bangor (7.23pm), but IF he backs up Market Rasen, we'd expect him to be bang there, and I'd like to think he'll take some beating, but then I am biased.

We shall see, but if he's in the same form he should be thereabouts and I thought 4s was more than fair. Jack Quinlan can't ride today, so we've drafted in Gavin Sheehan, who's never sat on him before - whether that has an impact, time will tell, but we shouldn't be lacking in assistance from the saddle. We've got x8 owners in attendance up there today, Bangor renowned for having the best O&T food around! All his owners have had a full preview, including a video preview, and those not in attendance will be kept updated via our his WhatsApp group - all being well, it's Galway next stop with him, in early August, around 20 of us have already booked flights/hotels etc and it promises to be a fun weekend - hopefully he will go here in decent form! Fingers crossed for this evening.

Tequila Rose - our first ever 2YO syndicated to race, and she's given us a thrill so far, 2nd on debut (form worked out well), winning last time at Brighton and value for 3-4 lengths more (form isn't working out so well) - she only cost 20k or so, and we can't ask for much more at this stage, but she's tough and will be winning plenty more races in time, at her level. We don't really know what her level is as yet, she's a bit lazy at home and only ever does enough whoever she works with - as such you need to race to find out. However, rather than race in a novice with a penalty, or wait for nurseries (all the time in the world to run in handicaps), we've thrown her in the deep end tomorrow, in a Listed contest. Eeek.

I had hoped this would be a 6-8 runner race as has been the case in some previous years, but instead it's 13 runners, and looks rather hot on paper! In truth I think we'd be delighted for a Top 6 finish, but it's hard to know. All arrive in form, all open to stacks of improvement still, it should be informative. Nothing in here has bombproof form as yet though, and all have their own questions to answer - fast ground an unknown for many, as is this sort of track.

There's plenty more to come from Tequila in time, especially with her attitude, and maybe stepped up further in trip. We now she'll try her best and who knows, funny things can happen in these races. If she grabbed 3rd you may not hear from me for a while! I think Ralph Beckett's is the most likely winner.

Provided she comes home safe we'll have a great day. We've got 40 RTPS owners trackside, all descending on Amy's in the morning for a yard visit (we have Kaleb, Coolree and Tequila there), bacon rolls and prosecco has been arranged. 20 are Tequila's owners/guests and all have O&T, which is generous of Newmarket and much appreciated, for what's a big day for us, 2 years and 10 months into this syndicate adventure.

Do keep an eye on her as her attitude will win her plenty more, likely in handicaps down the line, but we'll see how she goes tomorrow!

Getaway Glory - our long weekend will finish at sunny Worcester on Monday. This lad only cost 10k, our first horse at team G&G, winning on his first start for us with them, on chase debut. 12s>7/2. Hmm. He's since finished a close 3rd and 2nd, where both races haven't been run to suit or worked out for him - he got stuck behind horses at the wrong point LTO. He's got many more wins in him, and at the moment his hurdles mark is 7lb lower - we haven't yet decided which race on Monday, there's a handicap hurdle or a chase - i think he's well handicapped generally still, but especially off his hurdles mark - whatever race he runs in he'll be competitive and should appreciate the long Worcester straights, and the fixed brush hurdles if we go down that route. Do cheer him on, hopefully he can end the long weekend on a high, a winner from these three runners would be welcome, and he's potentially the most likely winner (I say that hoping Kaleb decimates them also). However, these horses can make you look silly and not deliver when expected! The great game.

In any case, we should have another 12-20 track-side for another great day out with like minded racing fans. We do know how to bring everyone together and have a great time.

We're currently adding to our string with 'G&G', Fond Farewell will be out soon, we hope another bargain buy for £15k (we don't like spending too much as yet!) some flat handicaps to win, before hurdling and chasing down the line. He's going to be a fun syndicate horse, will win races, plenty of fun days out - we do have around 7.5% left in him and do drop me an email if you could be interested (rtpsyndicate@gmail.com) . And next month we may be releasing details on another future chaser, an Irish point winning mare for the winter jumps seasons ahead. It's all very exciting.

In any case, have a great weekend, provided our stars come home safe, we'll certainly be enjoying each others' company, which is what it's about. Hopefully we can back a few winners between us tomorrow, before we descend on Newmarket highstreet, via the curry house. If you've any strong fancies for Newmarket, do let me know! :)

Do cheer those three on, and hopefully your support helps nudge them a bit further forward!

All the best,

Josh
