I hope this email finds you in good form. You're receiving it as you're on our 'keep me informed' email list for all things Racing To Profit Syndicate

Things are forever moving fast in this game of ours and now back from a few days away, it's time to kick on and grow our string.

We recently had to retire our Blazing Soldier who was at Mark Walford's, having damaged a tendon on the gallops, as he built up to his seasonal return. He won for us on rules debut at Newcastle and was going to be a smart handicap chaser in time. We're all still a bit glum.

We, and subsequently the training team, put so much into sourcing, syndicating, managing, training these horses, we get excited as they mature, only for injury to strike. It is a kick in the guts, but part of the game. Another reminder of why you have to really (really!) enjoy the good days in this game, especially over jumps.

A win or competitive run shouldn't be taken for granted. In the coming weeks we have plenty to look forward to from our existing team of 9, with Coolree, Tequila Rose, Shandancer, Give Me A Boom, Getaway Glory, Fond Farewell and Windsor Wife all hitting the track.

The future...

In time we will grow the northern jumps string at Mark's, Sam's and team G&G. Below I've news on a lease option with Sam England that may interest you.

In the next few days I will also be releasing details on another horse with team Greenall & Guerriero, who helpfully for us source plenty of their own on spec (with no owners lined up), and give us 3-4 weeks to see if we can syndicate, risk free.

This new lad is different to anything else we've had to date, a 3 year old jumper, store horse, who they purchased as a 2YO, but has done all his pre training, is back in the yard, will race 2-4 times this season, and is that classic 'could be anything' sort. One for the dreamers and more patient among you maybe! Of course come Jan 1st he'll be 4, but he does have something about him to my eye, and for not much money either (£12-14k or so). He may interest some of you and I'm intrigued to see how popular such a 'rough diamond' is, for all he should be forward enough for some fun this winter while having plenty of future potential as he grows and matures.

Our Kaleb will be off to France when Amy sets up her yard over there, which is exciting, with a few bits to sort on that front. He's now on holiday but with much to look forward to as he chases euros galore. We also have work to do in trying to grow the jumps string south of London, and on the flat more generally, including at existing trainers.

At some point this month I will send out a survey to assess where any gaps may be, what types of horses you may be interested in, and where.

Of course, we're trying to grow sustainably in the right way, by making sure we can pay our invoices on time, run & manage existing syndicates to the high standards we demand of ourselves and you rightly demand of us, all while enriching our ownership community (now 180 individual owners, coming together to enjoy this great sport in the most fulfilling way imaginable ), with what I hope is our personalised, open and honest approach to this great game. One step at a time.

With that said...

A new opportunity for you to consider for some fun this winter jumps season...

Tom Creen (Yeats x Casiana) -

Pictured at the top of this email. You can find his Racing Post profile here:

You can watch most of his replays via At The Races, here:

Due to a change in his owners' circumstances, they can no longer afford to keep paying all of his training bills, and an opportunity has arisen for us to lease 75%, to run him under our management/in our colours etc.

He's a winter season chaser, Oct-April, at which point he usually heads back to his owners for the summer (which suits us as we don't have to cover those bills!)

To date he's won nearly £40k in prize money, and £14k last season, which was his best yet in terms of chase performance, picking up another two chases and putting in career best RPRs in the process.

He's a 9yo, who's 4/13, 8 places (inc wins) in handicap chases (over 19.5f-21f), including 4/6,6p on Soft, and 4/6,4p at Sedgefield, a course he enjoys. We'll no doubt be trying to add to that course record this season, but he's run well elsewhere also.

He's currently rated 105, which Sam thinks he can win off, he looks sure to run 5-7 times this season again (he should be ready end of October, and has won on his last two seasonal returns), is ultra consistent, has won twice in each of the last two seasons, he races prominently and jumps well. He knows where the winning post is with the promise of more to come, his attitude worth plenty.

He looks sure to give us lots of fun this winter, with days out and with any luck a few wins to celebrate, but plenty to get excited about as he's usually thereabouts. He was better than ever over fences last season and has been a slow maturing sort. Plenty of his sire's chasers do get better with age and in fact his 15% win SR with 10YOs (which Tom will be from 1st Jan) is as good as with 7YOs. Sam also knows how to keep older chasers sweet. Given last season was his best yet, I think there could be more to come.

I'm in no doubt there are more wins in Tom Creen this season and I thought he was a horse we could all have some fun with, get to know, and enjoy over the next 7 months - with little risk, no upfront cost, and a 'get-out' at the end of April. There would likely be the option to lease him again the following season if we so wanted.

The Costs...

2.5% = £489 total (£69.99 pm x7)

3.5% = £699 total (£99.98 pm x7)

5% = £979 total (£139.98 pm x7) ( -£100 discount, £879)

7.5% = £1469 (£209.97 pm x7) (- £150 discount, £1319)
