Scath was the clear winner. And after the events of Skinned, Blood Trails #16, I had an idea.


I present to you...Recovery, Blood Trails #16.5.


Do NOT read this book if you haven't read Skinned yet. Huge spoiler. And to be honest, if you haven't read Skinned, you won't get anything out of Recovery anyway.


In fact, the only summary I can think to write for this short story that won't give spoilers to those who haven't read Skinned yet is this:


After the events of Skinned, Scath is called away from New Moon on a little side quest.

It was supposed to be a simple theft.


Scath’s next weregild should have been easy. Infiltrate a Seelie noble house posing as an unscrupulous witch and her large feline servant looking to purchase a new animal companion–or perhaps a slave. Spend the day wandering the Seelie’s stable full of rare and dangerous creatures and having lunch with happy slaves who demonstrate how effective the family’s training program can be. Then when darkness falls, locate the artifact and make a quick get away.


In and out.


Easy peasy.


Only nothing’s ever that simple.


When a murder is committed in a Seelie household, all eyes turn to the Unseelie guests.


Now it’s not just a matter of escaping with the artifact.


It’s a matter of escaping…period.

June Survey: Women of STEM?

Okay, so I LOVE the "Herstorically Speaking" panels at Dragon Con. They're fantastic, and I'm always really excited when I get to be on one.


For panels like these, every panelist gets to pick one or two women to talk about and tell the crowd why the women we chose are awesome.


So before I do a deep dive, I was hoping to get some suggestions.


What women of STEM inspired you? Do any of them have fantastic backstories? Weird trivia?
