Conviction, Blood Trails #9

Coming January 25th, 2021

Shade’s FBI partner has shot a kelpie.

Again.

And this time, the law may not be on his side…

Agent Andrew Bradford once used deadly force to stop a kelpie from kidnapping a human teenager. And now Shade has gotten a call saying he’s done it again. Flesh-eating kelpie dead, human victim saved.

At least, he thinks that’s what happened.

He doesn’t remember.

His inability to clearly recall the night’s events forces Shade to seek answers among the monsters of the Otherworld. She’ll have to question scheming leannan sidhe, malicious waterhorses, and take a dangerous step into the world of vampire politics.

Otherworlders are nothing if not opportunistic. And there are plenty of powerful players ready to take advantage of Shade’s desperation to do whatever it takes to save her partner…

On a Personal Note

I give excellent hugs. Seriously, I'm squishy and I'm a mom, so once I analyze height and figure out whose arms go on top, my hugs are legendary. I know we're all going through a rough time right now. And I wish I could give all of you one of my fantastic hugs.

Since I can't give you a hug, here's a few things that have helped me get through this past year:

  1. Here are 2 Facebook groups that post deals and coupon codes. One is for Amazon, one is for a variety of other places:

    1. Ama-zing Promo Coupon Codes & Deals Daily! Shopping Made Easy! (Amazon)

    2. Ama-zing Savings! Let Us Find You Deals In The Comfort of Your Own Home!

  2. Games on Steam. Steam is an online platform that lets you play cooperative board games online with friends. There's even a voice channel if you want to chat. Some games I highly recommend are:

    1. Sentinels of the Multiverse

    2. Aeon's End

    3. Spirit Island

  3. Music. I have taken to making playlists on YouTube, then playing it really, really loud while I clean my house. The music drowns out my negative thoughts, and cleaning gives me something to do with the energy I get from listening to really great tunes. And the feeling of accomplishment when I'm done really helps me face the rest of the day.

  4. Binge-Worthy TV. I like murder mysteries, usually with a lot of humor. I highly recommend:

    1. Murdoch Mysteries (Acorn)

    2. Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (Acorn)

    3. Shakespeare and Hathaway (Britbox)

    4. Due South (YouTube)

    5. White Collar (Amazon Prime)

    6. Bones (Amazon Prime)

    7. Father Brown (Britbox)

    8. Murder She Wrote (IMDB TV)

    9. Leverage (IMDB TV)

What's helping you get through these interesting times?
