Subject: Let's Meet in Person

For Readers

Hi Friend,

Do Readers Still Like Bookmarks?

I've been considering having bookmarks made for Let Us Begin, but I've asked myself if is worth the expense. What do people do with the bookmarks? Do they collect them? Do they use them? Do people mostly read ebooks these days making bookmarks obsolete?

Would readers prefer other types of swag or mementos?

Let me know what you think. As of today, I'm thinking that I will definitely order bookmarks. Since I have memories of collecting different types of bookmarks at writer's conferences, I tend to like them. They give readers a way to contact me and they are kind of nice.

What do you think? Do you like bookmarks?

For Writers

Come to my RWA workshop!

The best way to improve your writing is to attend conferences with writers, editors, and agents! If you want to write romance or women's Fiction, consider attending the RWA conference this year in Anaheim, Ca.

Let's meet in person and talk about writing! I will be presenting a workshop titled: "Clarify the Vision of Your Novel - What is your story about?" They have not given me the exact date and time yet, but the conference is from July 19-22.

If you have a difficult time explaining what your story is about, then this workshop will help you get a clear vision of your novel and make it easier to know what your story is about and to tell others what you are writing. This is expecially important when you are writing because it will keep you from writing scenes that do not directly relate to the significant story question of your book.

If you plan to go to the conference, email me and let me know!

Learn How To Pitch Your Story

In this week's youtube video, I talk about being able to answer the question: "What is your story about?" My RWA workshop will be different, but this also has some good tips.

It will go live on June 2nd.
