Subject: Introducing the Let Us Begin Audiobook: a must-listen for book lovers!

For Readers

Hi Friend,

Happy Halloween Week!

We get to celebrate all week, don't we? Since we all have leftover candy, why not?

I have a treat for my newsletter subscribers!

For the last couple of months, I've been working with a narrator to create the Let Us Begin audiobook, and it is officially finished! It can take up to 30 days for some retailers to list the title in their catalogue, but it's already available at Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Play, Spotify, and others. Audible takes the longest (45 days).

To celebrate, I'm giving away two audiobook codes that can be redeemed on Spotify! I will choose two people randomly who respond to this newsletter. Email me at writerjulia@gmail.com and tell me where you like to listen to audiobooks: In the car, the gym, while working, while doing housework, or in your favorite place.

You have October 8 to send an email. I will randomly choose two people and announce the winners in my next newsletter, which will go out next Thursday.

I look forward to hearing from you!

For Writers

Dealing With Rejection

I've been rejected by so many agents and publishers that I fully expected to hear no as soon as I opened an email (or letter back in the day).

But rejection is part of the game, and if you want to be a writer, you have to learn to read into rejection a little bit and understand why your work has been rejected. Next, you must learn how to revise your work. And lastly, you have to have the courage to send it back out.

Writers who learn to accept that rejection is part of the journey toward publication are the ones who do best in this business. Rejection doesn't mean you will not be published; in fact, it means you are closer to getting published.

I share a few tips in this video.
