Subject: Exciting Reading Deal Awaits You

For Readers

Hi Friend,

Successful Deadwood Reads Book Event!

I enjoyed meeting those of you who attended Deadwood Reads! Thank you for stopping by my table.

The event was a blast for both authors and readers. Wild Bill Days in Deadwood added to the festivities with their concerts, gunslinger shows, dock dogs competition, and classic car auctions, plus the normal casino action. We lost $50. We are not big spenders.😂 That was enough gambling for us!

If you've never been to Wild Deadwood Reads and you love books, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. Leave time to visit other places like Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands, too.

Advanced Reading Opportunity!

Christmas Without You is in its final round of reviews and edits. The current version will only have minor changes, if any. I invite you to be the first to read and review my upcoming Christmas novel!

You have two options.

  1. The first option is to read the first few chapters and get a sneak peek.

  2. The second option is to read the entire book and join my review team. This means that you agree to review the novel on Amazon before it is released. As you might know, book buyers purchase books that other readers like, so the more reviews an author gets, the more likely it is that a reader will purchase the book. So, I would love for you, my newsletter subscribers, to be my first readers!

The Power Combining the Inner and Outer Character Journey

My most popular video this month on YouTube has been this one where I discuss the importance of interweaving both the inner and outer journey for character development.

The primary purpose of the inner journey is to encourage the character to learn about himself and develop profound realizations about what he believes, what he wants, and why.

During the outer journey, the writer must create experiences and scenes that move the character along the outer plot while providing opportunities for him to travel through the inner journey.

It is the character who will drive both journeys. All this creates a satisfying read for your readers.
