We are delighted to share with you that Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) yesterday introduced the bill H.R. 213, to eliminate the per-country numerical limitation for employment-based immigrants. This bill has bipartisan support with Representative Zoe Lofgren and Representative Raúl Labrador as original co-sponsors.
A lot many of us have toiled together for years to advocate for elimination of per country limits. This year, the chances of this happening are far greater than any time in the past. We had anticipated introduction of this bill and thus have planned for
advocacy event in Washington to petition Congress to quickly pass this bill.
I am reaching out today with a personal request for your contribution. We are running low on funds. For the February
advocacy event and for the advocacy efforts that will follow we need
your support to see this bill through.
You have invested in this community effort before. We have together witnessed President's Executive Action on Immigration cleaning up the system and announcing fixes that we have advocated for years.
