Subject: I changed my mind - it's ok to change yours too :-)

Hi Friend,

How are you this fine Tuesday?

Well, I hope. 😉 I've been doing some introspection lately, and I wanted to share some thoughts with you about the ever-evolving nature of your desires and the importance of allowing yourselves to change your mind.

Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, and along the way, you often find yourself pursuing specific goals or aspirations, firmly convinced that they are precisely what you want. However, as you navigate through different experiences and gain new insights, you may come to realize that what you once desired no longer aligns with your most authenticelf or current circumstances (like when I realized that, after all these years of thinking, I wanted to move back to Italy, I realized I don't want that anymore - not permanently anyway).

It's crucial to remember that change is not a sign of weakness or inconsistency but rather a reflection of your individual evolution. Sometimes, the things you thought you wanted to turn out to be quite different from what you need or what makes you genuinely happy. When this happens, it's perfectly okay to reassess your priorities and adjusts your course.

Like I did when I realized that for me, joy comes from having a nice home, a garage, a backyard that I can 'live' in, and where my dookay(ok, so I don't have another one yet, but I will) can frolic and play in (to name a few). So, for me, space is of great importance, and while Italy has so much beauty (and lots of relatives), the cost of living and the low availability of single-family homes would force me into an apartment dwelling, which does NOT suit me at all. So, decision was Made! I will visit three months out of the year until the millions roll in, and I can buy my villa and create my own version of Under the Tuscan Sun (only I'll call it under the Trentino Sun 😂).

My point is that staying committed to something solely because you once declared it as your goal can lead you down a path that ultimately doesn't bring you fulfillment. You shouldn't feel obligated to adhere to a rigid plan if it no longer resonates with your values, dreams, or aspirations. Your happiness and well-being should always be at the forefront of your decisions.

Change can be daunting, but it can also be incredibly liberating. It allows you to explore new possibilities, discover hidden passions, and forge a path that better suits who you are in the present moment. It's a testament to your ability to learn, adapt, and make choices that reflect your authentic self.

So, I encourage you, as I am striving to do myself, to embrace change when it comes to your desires and goals. Don't be afraid to reevaluate and re-calibrate your path if it no longer feels right. Remember that it's not a sign of failure; it's a sign of growth and self-awareness. Let's support each other in making choices that honor our truest selves and lead us toward a more fulfilling life.

Thank you for being someone I can share these thoughts with, and I look forward to continuing this journey of growth and self-discovery alongside you.

Warmest regards,
