Hey Friend,
Sorry, I haven't written much in the last week or so.
But there's me, in the ER last weekend. I woke up with horrible vertigo and was repeatedly vomiting.
Since I've never had this happen, we felt it warranted a trip to the ER to get some answers. After many tests, they concluded that - they don't know why it happened. How typical, right?? So now, there will be more tests to figure out the WHY.
Life can certainly throw us a curve sometimes and take us completely off course. One minute we are humming along, and then bam... we are not.
This forced me into a new level of appreciation and gratitude for when things DO go well and when life DOES run smoothly.
I've been fine since that event and I am much more grateful for the things I was taking for granted.
Even being able to make it through the day feeling fine and being present to my activities I now see as a blessing.
How many times has gratitude been forced on you due to a life event?
How differently would we live our lives if we never took anything about each day for granted?
Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions and one that draws more to be grateful for onto itself.
I am much more aware of my blessings right now.
What blessings do you need to focus on more at this moment?
What have you been taking for granted?
Tonight, as you go to bed, think back on the day and give thanks for the moments that stand out, the things you have accomplished, the people in your life, and for life itself.
When we look at life through the lens of gratitude, everything seems sweeter.
Wishing you a grateful day today my friend.
