Last month we announced that we would now provide a 'Members Only' newsletter. Welcome to the first edition!
The purpose of this newsletter is to help you get the most from your SparePartsKnowHow membership by highlighting some of the member only content. Our intention is to address issues that have been raised with us by members and make sure that everyone gets the benefit of knowing where to go to access the content that helps resolve those issues.
If you have anything specific that you think we should address then please email me directly and we will cover the topic for the benefit of all members.
This week I want to draw your attention to two key features at SparePartsKnowHow.
Online ROP Calculator
Did you realize that we have an online ROP calculator?
You can use this to determine your ROP for any inventory item. Some people use this as a guide for their decision-making and some use it to provoke a conversation when someone wants to set what may be an unreasonably high ROP.
The calculator does not require significant historic data and is accessible only after you login.
Virtual Round Table
The Virtual Round Table is your opportunity to participate in a live, online, forum involving other members (and me!). This gives you the chance to hear what others are doing and to share your own experiences.
The sessions are held in the second week of each month and to cover the time zones of our global membership we hold two sessions. Please note that you do need to register to attend.
This month we will kick off the session by discussing the calculation of the ROP.
