This year is finally winding down and coming to an end. And boy oh boy, was it an interesting one.
I can say for a fact, that when I made my 2020 goals, a world-wide pandemic was not on the list. For the 2nd quarter, I was totally off my game because I thought the pandemic would be under control and we would be back to normal.
Yeah ok!!! That never happened.
When I realized it was going to take some time and the world was never going to be the same, I went back to my list of goals and started re-adjusting my action-plan.
See, my goals never changed. I just had to create another plan.
One of my goals was to schedule my Goal Setting and Vision to Vision Boarding Experience Master Classes and travel around the country to teach them.
I had several gigs already lined up, and had received down payments for the events and my travel expenses.
I had a huge gig at the University of Georgia. That by far was the biggest workshop I had ever booked and I was so excited and ready to present. There were 200 participants already signed up. I was ready!!! This is what I had been planning for.
Well, that didn't happen. In fact I repaid the down payment and now have credit for my airline ticket at JetBlue.
I was definitely disappointed but I had to adjust my plan.
My goal was to teach my workshops. I just had to change the HOW!!!!
YES!!!! ZOOM IT !!
I could still teach on-line and actually this was even better because: - I can teach all over the country from my office
- The participant can be in the comfort of their homes
- Everyone can stay safe and social distance
- It can be a family event (my main events were for adults)
- I can lower the cost of the workshop (lower overhead)
- Still give an effective and exciting workshop
