How not to be a Prisoner of our Emotions

Ask Dr. Anna S2. E32

Dr Paul Frewen & Ruth Lanius join Dr Anna B Baranowsky to discuss Feeling Too Much or Emotional Numbing (feeling nothing or feeling dead inside).

Dr. Baranowsky explains the important of being a Compassionate Observer of your own story. While Dr. Frewin and Lanius reflect on the importance of going slowly to increase a sense of connection with life and feeling the full range of emotions. They support the use of a body scan mechanism to increase that important access to a full range of emotions.

Their work Healing the Traumatized Self uses the TRASC model for understanding how trauma can impact states of consciousness.
