Tips to Try when you are interviewing a survivor:
1.Get practical... and offer simple things that will help the person ground in their bodies.
2. Forget the linear and concrete approach....Ask questions like, tell us anything that comes to mind, any smells, sounds, images are fine.
3. Empathize...Help the person feel safe and at ease in your company.
4..Lean in with great respect and patience.
