Dear Friend,
The month of May is dedicated to raising awareness on the many mental health issues that individuals face in our communities after trauma.
We start on May 1st with First Responders Awareness Day. Each one of us knows someone, a friend, a colleague, a loved one who has experienced trauma, or has become isolated in their struggle towards recovery.
This year your support of the Trauma Practice community matters more than ever as we continue to grow. On April 23rd Trauma Practice partnered with the City of Toronto to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the Yonge Street Tragedy that left a deep mark on families, community members and first responding teams. Our volunteer clinicians met with many of the thousands of individuals that came through that day, offering FREE support, tools and resources.
Trauma Practice for Healthy Communities is anchored in a community-based outlook. For you, your family and your community. Its programs tackle isolation as a first step to healing and recovery for everyone.
It takes a community to heal, and your support of our work is what is making the difference in the lives of those who need it most.
This May and every day help us to continue the work that Trauma Practice can do by donating HERE – a one time or monthly contribution means that we can all pay it forward to helping others on the path of trauma recovery.
