Dear Friend,
This May for National Trauma Awareness month Trauma Practice has dedicated itself to raising awareness for those struggling with trauma and mental health issues. From family members, to first responders, to neighbours and friends, we all know someone who needs help at some point in their lives after trauma.
76.1% of the population is affected by trauma. Many have no access to specialized trauma care.
How can you make a difference?
Make a Donation to our support group programs. Launched this past October, our free and “pay as you can” initiative ensures those falling through cracks can receive the help they need. With 3 groups well under way the impact on our participants through our Recovery and Resiliency program has been life changing.
L.B writes:
"I've felt very alone my whole life. The trauma and the way its made me feel has been so isolating. This group is full of people who get it, who validate me, and who are safe. I feel like I've found a group of people who I connect to and who motivate me to recover."
Using the power of communal group programs Trauma Practice is tackling isolation as a first step in trauma recovery. Together we are making a difference.
WE need YOU
It takes a community to heal, and your support of our clinician-led work is what creates recovery and resiliency in the lives of those who need it most. This May and every day help Trauma Practice by donating HERE – a one time or monthly contribution means that we can all pay it forward to helping others on the path of trauma recovery.
Sincerely,
Dr. Anna Baranowsky
