Here is a story that I always remember in regards to trading.
Way back, maybe 10 to 12 years ago, there was a game in Singapore that I was trading, and I was trading to lay the draw. I remember sitting down in my living room with the laptop on the armchair, as I watched the game live on Betfair. Here is the thing, I had not researched the game, but it looked like there was going to be a goal in that game.
The game went on and on the 60th 70th minute, and there was still no goal. I knew the trade was definitely going against me. Interestingly, I carried on and stayed in the game all the way to the end. I couldn't let that trade go. I was panicking and very desperate for a goal.
Today that does not happen anymore. That incident stuck with me, and I always look back to that day and how I traded. I always think what an idiotic move that had been.
We can pick many things from that story, and I have learned what not to do. We have all been there, done that "bought the t-shirt," and learned never to make such a trade ever again.
There are so many thoughts going through your head when a trade goes against you, but what I want you to do is fight the noises and voices in your head. Today I break down for you steps on what you can do when a trade goes against you and how to recover.
I love to share and teach you how to get better at trading on Betfair on the Betfair YouTube channel as well as the podcast.
