This was just part 1. In the next couple of days, we're going to add some other long-awaited features. I'll be back to tell you all about that one, but in the meantime I encourage you to check out the forum if you haven't already to have your say on what we add to the software and for tons of discussion about the strategies people are creating there.

For my fellow geeks, here's a full list of the fixes and features we added this morning:

1. Overhaul of Betting Rules UI

The whole Betting Rules section now has a different look and feel, works more intuitively and is much less intimidating

2. Updated maximum horse age in strategy rule

Previously, the maximum age you could filter on was 10. This has been updated to 20

3. Added minimum qualifiers per race

Sometimes you may want to specify a minimum number of qualifiers per race. The qualifiers option has therefore been changed to a number range so that you can specify a minimum AND a maximum, if desired

4. Qualifiers last update time is now displayed

In the daily qualifiers section, you will now see when your strategies were last all updated by the daily qualifiers background process

5. Updated BFBM integration guidance

Added video instructions, a screenshot and made the "External ID" text field more prominent

6. Running a strategy manually now updates qualifiers URL and daily qualifiers

You can now effectively force an update of the daily qualifiers and your qualifiers URL for any strategy by running it manually in the strategy builder

7. "Select defaults" button added to individual trades columns

If you want to quickly reset the list of columns back to the pre-defined defaults, you can now do that using this button

8. Renaming of entry bet types

"Take available" and "Offer price" have been renamed to simply "price range" and "single price". We feel that take / offer has some specific connotations in Betfair terminology and wasn't helpful. No change has been made to the functionality of these options, it just makes it easier to understand for new users.

9. Replaced loading messages with software quick tips

If your strategy takes a few seconds to run, you'll now see useful tips on how to use the software instead of the semi-amusing loading messages that were there before

10. Fixed issue with strategies not unarchiving properly

Previously, if you unarchived a strategy and then activated it, it still wouldn't appear in the daily qualifiers

11. Added 2 decimal places to ROI figure

A couple of you asked for more precision on the ROI figure in the strategy results. This has been done

12. Fix for dead heats

Previously, profit was not being calculated correctly in dead heat cases

13. Fixed issue with display of absolute time value in betting rules

Previously, when first accessing a saved strategy, the clock in the entry time section (when absolute time was selected) would always show 00:00-00:00, regardless of the actual saved values

14. Fixed initial value of "selections and prices" option in qualifiers setting

Previously, the value of the "Selections Only" / "Selections and prices" toggle was not displaying properly in some cases

15. Updated drawdown calculation

The drawdown figure has been updated. It is calculated as the greatest movement from a bank high to a bank low, before a new peak is achieved.

Example: If your bank increases to £2000, then drops to £1000, then rebounds to £1500 before dropping again to £500, the drawdown percentage calculation would be:

100 x ((500 - 2000) / 2000) = -75%

16. Fixed initial trades columns list

Previously, people would often have an empty columns list in the Individual Trades results section. This has been fixed
