Just a quick update - still waiting on the legal documents
to be done for the completion of the "How to modify guitar
amps" book, HOWEVER...

I'm in the middle of writing another "how to build effects"
book and I've been toying with this simple IC circuit,
similar to a boss od-1 circuit. This is simply just one of
the circuits that will be explained in this book as well
as what parts have effects on the sound and so on. I
breadboarded it real quick and made a soundclip for you,
pretty good sound for a low parts count! The IC is a 4558
type, the tone pot actually filters mids a bit as well.
