effective cold calling scripts is one of the ways you can improve a telemarketing program, produce warm leads and increase profits.  The scripts should focus on developing a trusting relationship.  If a potential client does not trust you, then he or she will never buy from you.

Plus, your scripts should not pressure the prospect.  Instead, it should encourage interaction with your telemarketer.  Your telemarketer should never assume the prospect needs or wants your service.

Some people teach you should not use a script.  I have been telemarketing for 22 years, and I have effectively utilized a script.  A script helps you sound sharp.  Everything you need to say is in front of your face so you will not forget it. 

The key is to not sound like you are reading it.  President Obama and TV reporters are examples of people who use a teleprompter and don't look like they are reading a script. 

Yet,
they are reading from a script.
