Bishop Thomas:
United in Mission
We were put here for such a time as this. How different might our marriages, families, parishes and world be as a result of our mission engagement today?
That was our united heart as we gathered last Thursday with our shepherd, Bishop Daniel Thomas, availing ourselves to his authority, mission and guidance.
The Bishop is calling us to unity in an ultimate mission of surrender to Jesus Christ -resulting in holy discipleship, holy families and holy vocations. He encouraged us to patience, passion and perseverance.
There's no movement unless we move. The mission is moving.
In recent weeks, we have been engaged in helping advance the Bishop's desire to reach our 15 counties up to, through and beyond the World Meeting of Families. Specifically, we will be inviting families (+ groups) to more fully discover God alive in their relationships. This will be made possible by 7 week sessions of the Live IT Gathering, weekly opportunities for families to talk and pray within their own homes.
