Happy New Year Friends!
This month we celebrate 10 years of living in the Toledo region! We can't begin to thank the Lord enough for so many incredible, Spirit-filled friends united in mission as we've navigated through waters both tumultuous and tranquil.
From the beginning, we've dared to ask the big questions: Is there anything more consequential, any greater measure of our success as parents, than that our children authentically, joyfully own and strive to live their faith in Jesus Christ... that it color every aspect of their lives to overflow? Do our homes exhibit a winning game plan? Are we about it? How different is our home (relationships and witness) going to be a year from now as a result of concrete commitments we make today?
From the very beginning, these critical things remain:
(1) We're about a way of life in Jesus Christ that is deeply anchored in the life of our Church. Not a next, latest program. Until we're about this, we run the risk of forming Catholic program junkies instead of disciples of Jesus Christ.
(2) We're about relationship at the heart of religion and ritual, which decisively distinguishes families where children navigate into adulthood owning it versus not.
(3) We're about a vision, concrete plan, tools and community to make it happen.
With Lent just over the next hill, please check out Pentecost365.us. In particular, we're inviting men in the Toledo area to get on board. This year we're incorporating a corresponding component for women.
Additionally, this year our Belief & Beverage Nights will be great occasions for our monthly and substantial benefactors. They will include amazing speakers in our home. Our next is February 16, 7P, with a rising Hollywood star (and his wife) who encountered Jesus Christ and now exhibit courageous Catholicism. (GO) Please help us advance this mission. Become a monthly partner. (GO)

GOSPEL | Matthew 4:12-23
When Jesus heard that John had been arrested,
he withdrew to Galilee.
He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum by the sea,
in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, that what had been said through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled:
Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles,
the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light,
on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death
light has arisen. From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say,
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers,
Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew,
casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.
He said to them,
“Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him.
He walked along from there and saw two other brothers,
James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets.
He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father
and followed him. He went around all of Galilee,
teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom,
and curing every disease and illness among the people.
