| As autumn paints the world in shades of gold and crimson, we find ourselves stepping into a season rich with mystery and majesty. October’s enchanted embrace seems to whisper stories of old—of quests, haunted forests, battles between good and evil, and heroes who rise to meet their destinies.
Here's an invitation to you, to all of us, an invitation to more fully discover and embrace our shared story.
Our world is desperate for meaning, for authentic connection, for the reality of the Gospel lived out in daily life—and we are called to be the ones who live it. Like the great tales of old, where heroes followed breadcrumbs through dark woods, we, too, are guided by something greater. But instead of mere breadcrumbs, we are sustained by the Bread of Life, the Eucharist, which leads us home to the heart of Christ. As we step forward into this sacred season, we are not simply bystanders. We are called to be protagonists in the story God is writing in the world—a story where Christ is the ultimate Friend, Savior, and King.
This November, we invite you to join us for SANCTUS Weekend, November 8th to the 10th—a series of different gatherings that unite us more deeply in this great adventure, all taking place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Toledo. It begins with IGNITE on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., to set our hearts aflame with passion and purpose through a time of Eucharistic Adoration. All are welcome!
We will continue Saturday morning with The Catholic Family Gathering from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. (Register Free | Limited to 40 Families) This is an opportunity to unite individuals, marriages, and families in the most profound mission of all—ever-deepening friendship with Jesus Christ. It is a journey meant to transform our homes and our daily lives through the simple yet powerful tool of the Live IT Gathering Guide, a practical way to incorporate prayer and meaningful conversation into our daily rhythms. The morning will end with a time of adoration.
And on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m., we will host The Catholic Grandparent Gathering featuring Peter & Debbie Herbeck, a sacred time for those whose wisdom and faith have guided generations. Grandparents hold a unique place in this adventure, not only as pillars of faith but as living witnesses to God’s enduring promise. (Register | Limited to 200) They remind us that we are not alone in this journey—countless saints and angels cheer us on, just as they have done for those before us.
So come, step into this adventure with us! Let SANCTUS 2024 be a time of awakening, a time to encounter Christ in new and deeper ways, a time to unite with others on the journey toward heaven. Together, we will walk this path, knowing that Heaven is cheering us on and that Christ Himself is with us, leading us toward the ultimate victory. Prepare to be ignited.
