| MISSIONED FRIENDSHIP
Cultivating Contagious Christian Life
At a recent wedding, Stephanie and I had a great connection with a top Catholic youth ministry leader. He shared a sobering truth: of the hundreds who experienced substantial, faith-rich programming, ten years later, only a fraction had a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
The problem plaguing most parishes is faith reduced to a connect-the-dots thing. Programs, one after another, without real impact, without true relationships, rarely breaking into our homes.
At the heart of everything, Jesus calls us to friendship with Himself. He calls us to a missioned community of friends committed to fostering home cultures where seeds are cultivated, saints are made, and the world is transformed.
We're not about any events, big or small, that are not directly connecting people in meaningful, engaged, lasting ways. At the heart of all we do, we're enthusiastic about building authentic, lasting friendships that will extend the Kingdom.
In addition to our weekly Live IT Gathering guides for families and groups (a great basis for gathering with your friends!), we would love to lead a mini-retreat in your parish before Mass, giving you a taste of this mission. We host missioned-friendship contexts for men, women, couples, and families in our home and are eager to help you do the same in your home.
And we proclaim this mission through our media platforms (e.g., listen now to this week's IGNITE Radio Live: "Women's Night with Molly McCartney.")
Please join us in more fully seeking to live the transformation we profess. Beyond programs and events, dare to discover Jesus Christ in missioned friendship. We believe that together we can profoundly impact this world for now and future generations. We have a big vision to make our missioned friendship-building capacity all the more available.
