Aware of the toll porn has taken on too many good men, as a fellow combatant on the battlefield of the soul, I wrote a piece on Christian men and porn. Inspired by C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters, it was featured in Catholic Exchange and blessed with very positive comments from many Catholic leaders and a couple bishops (Evicting the Enemy at the Gates: Porn in Church). Fr. John Riccardo confided: We need to address the dramatic escalation of this issue among women.
In this week's episode of IGNITE Radio Live we're going there. Guests Pastor Igor Beaufils and Melissa Janiszewski are two godly leaders on the front lines and really making a difference for both men and women. Men. Beginning in Lent, February 22, so excited to be joined by a number of men in the Toledo area. We're seeking to be anchored in solid, everyday spirituality that will impact our marriages, families and community. We're about building really great missioned friendships. GOSPEL | Matthew 5:13-16
Jesus said to his disciples:
"You are the salt of the earth.
But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything
but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand,
where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds
and glorify your heavenly Father."
