ANYONE WITH A WORKING SOUL is deeply grieved by the loss of human life in Uvalde. Buffalo. Milwaukee. Corsicana. Duluth. Sacramento. In the womb. In homes. We know that as hurting people hurt people, all the violence expressed without reveals a violence within. Disorder. Crying out. Beckoning More.
Do we personally know More? Are we about Him? |
| The roots of all violence are a denial or rejection of not simply who we are, but Whose we are. We are sons and daughters of the living God. (2 Cor. 6) Fashioned in the image of God. (Col. 1) Made for His indwelling Spirit. (1 Cor. 6) Such an unsurpassed Identity that our formidable, insanely jealous Enemy spews toxic clouds.
Given such sublime and holy Revelation, it is our part to choose either reception or rejection. Since Satan can not deprive us of our nature, he confuses. Distorts. Twists. At the very core, making us believe that truth is is something we can create, not Someone in Whom we are created.
Consider today the heavy clouds lingering over definitions of "marriage," "woman," "man," "human life," and even "Catholic." Instead freely flying on the horizon of Him who IS truth, we've become a tower of babble. These now mean whatever anyone wants them to mean. They can mean anything, which is to say, they mean nothing. Disagree and you are hateful. Intolerant.
And note: If you tolerate what is false/bad, you are intolerant of what is true/good. You can't have it both ways.
We've become the "Divided States of Absurdity." The current regime decry any decision based upon race (racism) or gender (sexism), yet make the same criteria the basis of selection of the highest court in the land. They advance "gender affirming" policies and practices yet shrink from every attempt to define what "woman" or "man" even mean. They decry laws against abortion because women will do it anyways, while advocating for gun laws thinking that will take care of it.
They assail the very premise they need: objective truth.
So on this battlefield between Good and Evil, Health and Harm, please consider for yourself the results of any search including the terms "homosexual" and "health." They reveal the surpassing danger of body and soul (depression, suicide, etc.). Consider that as children are impressionable, why we permit sexual-confusion-indoctrination in schools, including "gender reassignment" without parents knowing. And events such as "Drag your kid to Pride." (GO)
Why are we surprised that the rate of suicide for children between ages 10-14 has tripled in just 15 years? Add domestic violence and divorce? Why are we surprised that churches are more empty than ever? That a kind of lethargy lingers over the souls of so many. What's the answer?
The Answer is now what it has always been. The Answer to every problem. Every struggle. Every anguish. Every confusion. The Answer is real relationship. Real intimacy with God in Jesus Christ. Who made man and woman in His image. (Gen. 1:27) Who became one of us that we might become like Him. Who made us not simply to spectate, but to participate in His Very Life. Which is to say, in and through the family. The cornerstone of civilization. A dignified, sacred, holy, formidable, unsurpassed powerhouse of formation, strength, healing, mercy and love.
At the end of the day, which is coming soon, the only orientation that matters is the one we all share: from sin to salvation in Jesus Christ.
We choose to strive to live Him. To live the Holy Trinity. To Image the Trinity. To Live IT. That's what we're about. Families united in discovering, proclaiming, living and building the Kingdom. Join us.
