Subject: How to get your child not to be afraid

Hi,

Alan Abelove here from IMAlanAbelove.com.

When you want your child not to be afraid of the pet dog or the pet cat, what do you do?

You hold his hand and have him touch it, and you say (and coax him to say) niiiice, niiiice...

Or how do you get your child to be ready to learn to swim?

I'll tell you what I did with my kids.

I took them to the pool, and I told them that I want to play a game with them.

I told them, "Hold on the side, and I'm going to put my hand under the water and hold up a number of fingers. I want you to stick your head under the water and then tell me how many fingers I have up?"

What's the idea? You have to find a middle step, which they can see that they can do and master, and then you can take them to the next stage.

You show them that yes, you can touch a dog and nothing happens, he doesn't bite, he doesn't bark, you did it.

Or look, you can put your face under the water without being afraid, this is something that you can do, that you've already done, already mastered.

The same thing is true with online skills.

You have to find those small, intermediate steps and just do it, and you will see that you don't have to be afraid, it doesn't bite, it doesn't bark, you can do it. And you don't need to be a geek in order to do those things. (Or, saying it in a different way, doing those kind of things doesn't make you into a geek).

You just have to find those intermediate steps.

I can show you, click here.

All the best,

Alan Abelove
