Where Did Summer Go?

Summer Reading ended mid-August and the Berlin-Peck Library’s three programs all saw increased participation over last year’s numbers. The elementary school’s program, Read & Bead, had 754 participants, a 134% increase from last year. The Teen Scratch Ticket Challenge showed 909 Scratch Tickets redeemed (representing items checked out of the Teen Department), a 163% increase from last year. Our Adult readers’ participation rose to 198, 13% over last year. Our gratitude to the Kensington-Berlin Rotary, as well as many businesses in and around town for their support.

Seed Library

Before you close up your garden this fall, please give some consideration to donating some seeds to our Seed Library for use next spring. Many patrons took advantage of the many varieties we accumulated, and we can always use more. Look at the beautiful items grown with our seeds this year!
