| | Read Local, Shop Local
Although National Library Card Sign-up Month is next month, I wanted to give you a heads up about our new initiative: Read Local, Shop Local. Businesses in town are offering you special discounts and incentives if you show them your Berlin-Peck Library card! No need to wait until September. Please help us spread the word to all Berlin residents, so they're ready for the savings!
Quick Loan Movies!
Need some entertainment for tonight? Check out the box-office hits in our new Quick Loan Movie shelf! This small collection has special loan rules to make sure movies are returned quickly, in time for you to check them out. Quick Loan DVDs and Blu-Rays have 3-day loan period, limit one per household, $1 per day late fee (no exceptions for seniors or children), and cannot be renewed or placed on hold. Please give us feedback if you'd like to see this service continue!
Baubles & Bling Coordinators!
Do you love jewelry and handbags? We are looking for an individual or a team to take over the bi-annual sale that helps the library so much! Most of the hard work has been done—we've gained a lot of knowledge and experience from our previous sales that we're happy to share. Your job—come in every few weeks to clean, bag and price donated items and work the weekend of the sale, right now scheduled for December 6-7. Plus, you get first dibs on all the goods! Any questions, shoot me an email at hmalinka@berlinpeck.org.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
