For some of us, the word ‘love’ is loaded with meaning—good and bad.
Sometimes people struggle with the Love Question because they trip on on things like, “But what is love anyway?” or, “I have an issue with love,” or, “I don’t know how to love properly.”
So I want to give you some tools to check in with your inner guidance by using other words that might suit you better.
If you decide to use an alternative to ‘love’ in your question, I suggest that every once in a while, you return to ‘love’ to see if your feelings have changed.
Here are some alternative questions for you to try.
Let yourself feel how each one stirs you. Let's try them out now, ok?
Think of a situation you are struggling with at the moment.
Now ask yourself each of these questions and see what answers come up for you.
If I knew I had permission to take up space, what would I choose to do now?
How would I best meet my needs now?
If I was in alignment with my true self, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew I was OK as I am, what would I choose to do now?
If I had no fear, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew everyone else would be OK, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew everyone else also loved themselves, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew it was OK to shine, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew everyone had enough, what would I choose to do now?
If I liked myself, what would I choose to do now?
If I knew I was safe, what would I choose to do now?
Which of these resonated for you?
Why do you think it did?
If you loved yourself, what would you say to yourself about this now?
