Recent research clearly shows that spending time in gratitude and appreciation every day can improve various mental and physical health conditions.
So why don't we enjoy some of this healing magic together now?
(And in case you miss it at the bottom of the email, I'm gifting a FREE short workshop to healthcare practitioners to help them look after themselves better this year. Read my letter to find out why. If you are a therapist, doctor, physio, coach, counsellor, homeopath etc, I hope you join us live on 8th February. Click HERE to sign up for it.)
Ok, back to gratitude.
There is an almost invisible web of support and help in our lives that we don't often realise is there yet it holds us lovingly all the time.
I'm talking about any doctor, therapist, coach or healer who has ever been there to help you when you needed it.
Pause for a moment now and think back to any time you, your child, your parent, your friend, or your family member was unwell and someone, or perhaps many people, helped bring healing, reassurance and support.
Try to count how many doctors, therapists of all kinds, healers, counsellors and coaches have helped you and your family in your lifetime.
Start from when you were born.
There are a lot of them aren't there?
It's quite mind-boggling.
You don't think of them most of the time, right?
Yet when you aren't well or you hurt yourself, they're the first people you think of.
Because you know they have skills and knowledge that can help you.
And you know they want to help and heal.
They have dedicated their lives to doing so.
There's a whole army of humans around the globe, who have chosen to make their focus helping and healing fellow humans.
How truly wonderful is that?
We're so often focused on the bad things happening in the world but here is this really good thing that's always there.
This healing army is always in service to you and your loved ones - and also to total strangers.
I mean, when you hear that a person was hurt and was taken to a doctor or therapist, don't you feel relieved that someone is going to help them?
Isn't it it a lovely feeling to realise that you always have this support backing you up if you ever need it in your life?
So, in this moment now, let's cherish and celebrate them and give some appreciation back (which is something that benefits your own health while you do it!)
Connect with your heart and open to feeling the appreciation you have for the presence of healers in your life and in the world.
Now in your mind's eye, send this loving appreciation towards them, like an energetic thank you from your heart.
Imagine them pausing in their day and suddenly becoming aware of a warm sense of well-being and appreciation flowing to them.
See them smile and feel good about what they are doing in their life.
Then expand your thank you to all the healers and helpers around the globe.
Imagine the whole army receiving a boost of energy and loving appreciation for what they are doing in the world.
You can forward this email to any healer and helper in your life as a way of saying, 'I see you. I am grateful to you. I appreciate all that you do in the world."
Because the thing is, many of these wonderful people are so busy thinking of, and helping other people, that they tend to forget to look after themselves.
So let's remind them that they are people who need looking after too.
My thank you is in the form of a FREE one-hour workshop on self-care for this year. If you are a healthcare professional, click HERE to join me live on 8th February.
Please share this with any healthcare practitioner you know. Let them feel the love too - and get the free gift.
If you loved yourself, how would you appreciate your supports now?
