I'm sitting here alone in my therapy room, in the middle of my workday, between sessions, typing this out to help myself process something.
A number of lovely things have just happened and it's left me thoughtful...
Stirred in some way that I'm trying to figure out.
Here are the lovely things:
I just ended a call with a client who suddenly thanked me profusely for our work together because she feels like life is becoming free and joyful in a way she has only dreamed of before.
Then right after our session, I checked my messages and found yet ANOTHER message from a client who feels happy beyond his wildest dreams because he just returned from a gathering of friends that he initiated, for the first time in his life, and was able to be present and joyful throughout the experience.
I often receive joyful texts and emails from people who have read my books, or done a workshop with me and I am always touched when someone tells me how they have started bravely asking the Love Question and listening to their inner guidance and that their life has improved as a result.
Then, in addition to this, just yesterday, I was editing a recording of last year's group of practitioners and in the recording they are speaking in glowing terms with shining faces about the massive transformations that have happened in their lives during our journey together.
It is powerful to witness their sharing and I am very moved and happy.
But also, right now, sitting here alone, after this sudden deluge of happy people expressing their joy to me, I feel stirred.
Almost a little confused.
Because WHY is it helping people so much?
What IS it, that changes people's lives so dramatically when they begin to engage with the If I Loved Myself concept?
What does it say about what we are doing the rest of the time if this makes such a marked difference in how we live?
I suppose this is all the stuff I write about each week and in my books.
So I'm not really sure what I want to say here today, other than this:
Listening to your own inner guidance, asking yourself the Love Question, bravely following the answers you receive, meeting your needs...
These very basic things...
They make a very complex and comprehensive difference in your life.
And when you do them, your courage helps your life...
But it also inspires everyone around you.
Your self-love is a ripple in the pond of your life...
It touches everyone gently and beautifully.
And it helps the world.
So please keep doing it.
I'm sending you so much love and gratitude for wanting to love yourself more and improve your life.
❤️
