Subject: Discomfort is good.

It brings a gift.

Love that discomfort! I dare you.

Discomfort is a magical gift. Truly, it is.

Think of something in your life right now that makes you feel uncomfortable for some reason.

Now consider this:

When something doesn’t feel right to you, or you don’t like something, or you don’t feel good, it means you are facing a choice.

Feeling uncomfortable = need for decision.

Think of your uncomfortable situation. Can you see what choice you're facing in it?

It’s ok if you don’t yet. Keep reading.

Normally when we feel uncomfortable, we want the feeling to go away so we impulsively take whatever action we believe will ease the discomfort. We move away, we distract ourselves, we eat, we blame the other person for how we feel...

Sometimes, that’s fine but if you understand that choices are the building blocks of your life, then you don’t want to be laying those blocks unconsciously, right?

I mean, do you really want to design your life with quick impulsive reactions to something that’s irritating or confusing you?

This is the gift discomfort brings you.

It invites you into consciousness in a moment of choice.

The power is yours to mould your life as you want it – you just have to turn towards your truth in your choices.

So I invite you to begin to nurture curiosity about any moment you feel uncomfortable.

The discomfort might be a subtle feeling that you don’t really understand – someone is speaking to you and you feel edgy and annoyed, or it might be obvious – there’s a really bad smell coming through the open window.

In those moments you can say, “Aha! I’ve just been given a great and powerful gift to shape my life as I want it to be! I get to choose what to do about this discomfort now.”

The first important step in making self-loving and satisfying decisions is to acknowledge your moments of discomfort, tension, anxiety, sadness...

Acknowledge the point of choice.

It's the key to your happy life.

If you loved yourself, what important discomfort would you acknowledge feeling now?
