Subject: But if I say yes...

What will happen?

Do you mostly say yes or no to yourself?

A choice that feels good to you and leaves your heart peaceful begins with you saying yes to yourself and giving yourself permission to exist.

"I really need to rest now."
No, you can't, there's too much to do.
Yes, you can rest now for a while and then we'll continue.

"I don't want to go to this event."
Sorry, you have to go.
Ok, let's figure out how to get you out of going.

"I don't like this."
Just suck it up, stop complaining and push through.
If you don't like it we will stop.

"I want to change jobs."
Don't be ridiculous, how will we make money?
Ok, that's scary but let's start looking around to see what other options there might be.

"I want some chocolate now."

You're fat and have no willpower. You can't have chocolate.
Well, you haven't been eating so healthily lately and you don't feel good about your body. First check if it's really chocolate you want now or if you maybe need to rest or cry or meet with a friend? If it really is chocolate, then ok. Let's have some but not a lot so that you can have the enjoyment you want but you don't feel bad afterwards.

Are you getting it?

When you say yes to yourself regularly, you live in childlike joy because your life is full of all the things you like best.

You make sure of that, you see?

If you enjoy something, you let yourself do it or you bring it into your life. You create a world in which your wellbeing and joy is a top priority. Where whatever makes you happy is important and allowed. You give yourself whatever will make you most happy. Really happy.  Like a child on Christmas kind of happy. Like every day is your birthday.

The thing is, your life is between you and you. You’re the one living and experiencing it, not anyone else. You have the power. If it's a happy life, that's because you made it so and if it's unhappy, the same is true.

When you regularly say no to yourself, life feels depressing, scary and pointless.

When you know that you will listen to your needs and do what you can to fulfil them, life is safer and enjoyable.

But why is it important that you are happy and that you enjoy your life?

Because you are a unique and essential cell in the body that is this world.

A happy cell is a healthy cell and a healthy cell helps the whole body function better.

Your joy help us all.

We need as many healthy, vibrant, content cells as possible in the body of humanity - especially now.

The way you can best be of service to yourself, your loved ones and the world, is to learn to love and accept yourself and to say yes to being you so that you can be as healthy and happy as possible.

Whatever emerges from you when you are happy and healthy will benefit everyone.

If you loved yourself, how would you say yes to yourself now?
