In an interview recently with my dear friend Margarita Pinhas, Success Coach and Yoga Teacher, she asked me some really thought-provoking questions that made me express what I teach and how I live in new ways.
I highly recommend listening to the interview (links at the bottom of the mail).
Here's a short section from it.
Margarita Pihas: "Do you really use your Love Question everywhere?"
Eilat Aviram: "I think by now it's gotten to a place where instead of saying 'If I Loved Myself' all the time, its become so natural for me to notice when I'm uncomfortable, when something doesn't sit right with me and to turn my attention to it. Not in that feeling of hopelessness and helplessness of, 'Oh this is so hard. I don't know what to do! Life is HARD'.
Instead, it brings you to a place of empowerment because when you notice that something is uncomfortable, you realise, 'Oh Wait. This is the beginning of the ALLOW method. This is the beginning of me making a choice. I'm not ok with something here. What do I want instead?'
I think, for many years, like many people I work with, I ignored that. I didn't think there was anything I could do about it. 'I don't like it, it makes me uncomfortable. I just have to figure out how to survive it or make a plan to not get into that situation anymore'. I would look, as you said just now, to the outside to try to fix it and do things.
And now it doesn't feel that way anymore. Now I think, 'Oh wait, something's uncomfortable. That means my inner guidance is telling me that's not my way, that doesn't feel right for me. If I loved myself, what would I choose to do now?'
I do actually still use the Love Question but its become more a feeling of flowing and navigating through my life and my relationships and my food and... everything, from using my inner sense. And seeing, 'What would Eilat like? What will feel nicest for Eilat?'
It's like Im constantly holding my little inner self's hand and asking, 'What do you want love? What will feel nice for you? Whatever feels nicest for you is what we'll do!'
It's such a lovely way to live life. It's so empowered and things just unfold. Money, food, health, relationships - it just sort of flows so much better when you're happy in your life. When you know someone's got your back. That someone being YOU.
It's incredibly powerful."
