20% off Resolve 17 on-demand classes plus free mini Skin Grading vid
20% off individual Waen Eagles Resolve courses till June 6

Just over 12 months ago, we released a new series of Resolve training with me saying "Buy it now, the pandemic will soon be over!" Like many others, I got it wrong.

With vaccinations rolling out around the world and production ramping up again, I feel confident in saying there is light at the end of our COVID tunnel. TV and Film production is at a 10-year high in Australia ... and the rest of the world will follow as we all play catch up. The good news is, it all needs to be colored.

To help with the transition back to normality my FXPHD classes will be on sale all this weekend.

Grading Skin in Resolve 17 video

FREE: SKIN GRADING MINI LESSON

I have also released a free video sharing my thoughts on grading skin tones - why it's so difficult to get it right, and what the client is looking for in the session.

The movie contains tips on using the HDR Global Wheel, The Face Refinement and Patch Replacer OFX plugins.

Introduction to HDR with Kevin Shaw

WHAT OTHER STUDENTS HAVE SAID ABOUT INTRODUCTION TO HDR:

In-depth Examination of a Complex Subject

Kevin is a first-class colorist and trainer and knows the subject backwards and forwards. His approach to HDR is terrific, and he provides the understanding that colorists need to have in order to move SDR grades into HDR, or to make HDR sessions compatible for possible SDR deliveries. It’s a must-have for any serious colorist doing work at this level.
