Welcome to our October ICA newsletter.
IBC is a distant memory and we are now looking forward to the ICA Colorist Summit in Hawaii. Running from October 5th to 13th the Summit aims to give the student a mixture of education and fun. Classes are different from the normal ICA format as we want to create a relaxed atmosphere in each class.
The first Hawaii Colorist Mixer will be on Saturday 12th October and in true Mixer tradition we have great prizes on offer from our sponsors.
If you haven’t already done so please sign the IMDB Colorist petition VOTE, SHARE and COMMENT. We are trying to get a new ‘Colorist’ section on IMDB. You will need to register, but it costs nothing. All our current dates are listed at the bottom of this newsletter. GUY MOLIN TRAINING IN AMSTERDAM.
College of MultiMedia (CMM) in Amsterdam, is the official training partner of Blackmagic Design in the Netherlands. CMM teaches several levels of DaVinci Resolve and a new course has just been added: DaVinci Resolve Basics.
With each new revision of DaVinci Resolve, it is becoming more capable. In addition to editing and color correction, there is also now composting / graphics in Fusion and recently Fairlight has been added, a very extensive audio package.
During this 2-day course you will learn about:
• Media management
• Video Editing
• Image compositing
• Color correction
• Audio post processing
• Conforming / finishing
Only a true expert can be a specialist in all these fields, but it is very useful to master them all in a basic way. After this course you will have enough basic knowledge to be able to handle all aspects of the new features in DaVinci Resolve.
College of MultiMedia is the Blackmagic Design Training Partner in the Benelux. This course is provided in association with International Color Academy (ICA). The trainer of this course is Guy Molin, a very experienced colorist, with a registration at Colorist Society International.

BOGOTA, COLORIST MIXER.
The classes at CONGO FILM SCHOOL were amazing. So huge thanks to students from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Dominican Republic and Peru for helping them to be such a success.
The Bogota Colorist Mixer proved to be a great success with over 150 Colorists, DPs and industry professionals attending the first South American Mixer. The quiz was a resounding success with a huge amount of excitement.
The Bogota raffle brought the house down with over 150 guests waiting to see if they had collected prizes from Assimilate, Filmlight, Blackmagic, FXPHD, Congo Films School, Revista TV y video, Video Corp, Altavista Cinematic, Violeta Post, Nacho Mazzini Family and Dedolight
