| Getting back to the classroom... After a gap of 6 years, Warren announced that classroom training would return to Australian shores. Not knowing what the take up would be like, he decided to run it close to home. Luckily, his Workshop at the Peregian Digital HUB on the Sunshine Coast sold out in just 2 weeks!
Why did you 'BYO machine'? "Students feels comfortable on their own machines - after all, that's what they'll be using after the class"
What are the advantages of the classroom? No distractions. Getting to hear other people’s questions - somebody else will always ask a ‘left field’ question that you might never have thought of. Meeting new people and networking. Getting instant feedback on your work. 3 separate classes where you get class media, screen recordings, and certificate.
Whether you are a seasoned Resolve user or relative newbie, these classes take your grading to the next level.

Color Tour S3 01: Walter Volpatto
|
Season 3 was renamed ‘Not on Tour’ as Warren recorded remotely through COVID. He had planned to visit Walter in his new grading suite at Company 3 just after NAB 2020, but the pandemic meant he never made it to LA. This episode is still a gem from the archives: Walter is one of the world’s leading color graders. He has coloured over 100 features including Green Book, Star Wars The Last Jedi, and Dunkirk.
They discussed how Walter moved from being a factory worker in Italy to being a top Colorist in Hollywood; using Dolby Vision on the Netflix movie ‘The Old Guard’; the Color workflow for Dunkirk and working with Christopher Nolan; why people said The Last Jedi wasn’t HDR enough, and more! |
