Just as each acorn contains the oak it is to become. So it is with each child. The plan is intact, but then the covering up begins.
Parents do it, schools do it, peers do it… all unintentionally conspiring, layer upon layer, to cover up rather than bring out the lighted soul behind the eyes of the child.
So if you feel disconnected with what it is you’re here to do… even with what it is that lights you up, begin by remembering the child you once were. Play with her… love her… and listen to what she was trying to tell everyone in ways that were not yet words. Remember what dreams stirred his soul and take another look to see what is there to see. Kindle that spark and observe what thoughts and feelings are ignited within you.
