Togo

Last night we watched the movie, Togo.

It’s the true story of the Alaskan sled dog most responsible for the successful delivery of diphtheria serum to Nome, Alaska, in 1925, against all odds.

I highly recommend it. And a box of tissues.

When times get tough, I reflect on such heroism and am bolstered by those who came before and set the examples of what’s possible with focus and dedication.

“If you’re around them [dogs] long enough they tend to get under your skin. And if you’re lucky enough to have known a great one they never really leave, they stay with you as long as you live, harnessed to your heart, giving their all... always.”

~Togo

We watched Togo via Disney, but there may be other options for viewing, as well as reading, like this profile story on the AKC website.

Togo… a dog, gave it his, all and he never gave up.

If he did, then I can too.

And so can you!

The day is the way.
