Subject: Sir Richard’s Take

Today I’m sharing an email I enjoyed from Richard Branson who says:

If I had let my IQ and my school grades determine my success I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today, so I hope that nobody lets a standardised test result get in the way of a good idea.”

I especially enjoyed Sir Richard’s sharing of his actual crazy “to do list” for ONE DAY when he was 22 years old, which you can read and see an actual copy of in his article published on LinkedIn.

Article by Richard Branson on balancing creative thinking, productivity and focus.

It’s relatable in how so many of us creatives can way over do what we think we can achieve in the short term.

But… as the saying goes, that is also quite true:

“People tend to overestimate what can be done in one year and to underestimate what can be done in five.”

And the things that helped Richard focus and achieve more?

“Working out a daily routine, and sticking to it.”

Transformation through creation.
