We made it through this week, folks!!
I’m grateful for a wonderful week… out of the media… focused on creating. I did not enter the fray so I did not add to the melee, nor did it knock me off kilter.
For years I did… and it did. Now, so grateful to have moved beyond that, for the time spent in the skirmish never added value to my life, or that of those around me.
There's a lot to be said for the softening of aging and the wisdom of Stoicism.
I’m not advocating not being informed, for of course we need to be aware. However, I am advocating the absolute minimum exposure. If we can’t change what is, that we don’t like, we need to devote our time to what we can do and avoid dwelling in the doldrums of that which we can’t.
We may have only a vote to count in the political arena, but we’re the only ones who can create our art and do the work that matters to us. And it matters. Your creativity expressed, matters.
