Soulful Sunday, Sunshine! |

If you’ve noticed a lot of angst in the world... in your life, or that of those around you, you’re not alone.
Beyond the uncertainty of transitory times, fall and winter traditionally bring misgivings. For our ancestors, the bounty of fall’s harvest were shadowed by the foreboding of a long and uncertain winter survival.
That genetic memory is still a driver in our modern psyche. As the nights diminish the daylight, these seasonal changes can affect our physical, mental and emotional states. The inflammation in the world systems can infect our own.
If this is your current experience, just remember, no winter lasts forever.
Creativity can turn around the doldrums. Creating opens the coloring box of your heart and spills brightness into dark places.
You cannot wait for your art to come together. You must do it… you want to do it. Same thing with your life. Don’t wait for it to happen to you… help it to happen because of you.

The Rose
Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snow Lies the seed That with the sun’s love, in the spring Becomes the rose.

Martha Grow recently shared a calligraphic stanza of the amazing timeless classic song, The Rose, in the iCreateDaily for Creators Facebook group.
Do you know the story behind the creation of that amazing work of art? It was incidental… accidental… and not written by a songwriter.
At least she wasn’t yet a songwriter.
You never know what may come through the portals of the universe and download straight into the creative mind rendered fertile through the simple act of creating daily.
Creativity stoked daily opens the gates to an infinitely creative universe seeking expression.
The Rose
Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed Some say love, it is a hunger An endless aching need I say love, it is a flower And you, its only seed
It’s the heart that fears the breaking That never learns to dance It’s the dream, afraid of waking That never takes the chance It’s the one who won’t be taken Who cannot seem to give And the soul, afraid of dying That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely And the road has been too long And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snow Lies the seed That with the sun’s love, in the spring Becomes the rose
