ORIGIN:
When Devani and I started iCreateDaily in 2017, it was because we wanted to find a way to support artists and fellow creators in getting their work out into the world through consistency, mindset and information to support and uplift. We empathized and identified with the artists’ plight of aspiring to create more, and to do sustainable work that is meaningfully related to our creative work, (for those so inclined).
REDIRECTION:
Since that time, many life changes have happened that have caused us to continue morphing with the flow of life, while also consciously creating it. That is the nature of the journey… it is rarely a straight and easy coast to a destination.
I’ve needed to redirect my attention to our media publishing business (websites) for now. It suffered when Devani left, then through my pursuit of creating for iCreateDaily — which I see as a part of my creative and purpose driven spiritual work — over our monetizing businesses.
Subsequently, the business side of things suffered and shrank rather than grew, and then further suffered when I was needed in a mostly 7/17 days/hours per week in the care of my mother.
Thus… all of this is why — after over 5 years of daily emails, you don’t hear from me as often or as consistently during this period. Circumstances of life have demanded that I redirect my creative energy to a renewed focus on those other responsibilities for now.
But I’m grateful it is also work that I naturally enjoy. And while I do bear a burden of feeling the neglect of our community, it is simply another season of life for now, and meanwhile, it’s lovely to see that the community is supportive of each other within itself.
PRESENT:
Meanwhile, Devani has gone on to live in Virginia with her husband, Ashe, and run their small virtual assistant business, while Ashe focuses full time on his job. He’s a brainiac, and brilliant creator, who works in an industry of the future, which “about” description is likely above most of our operating knowledge to even understand. E.g. “Powering native web3 ecosystems and institutional applications for the next generation of the web.” In short… crypto, blockchain and all kinds of super high levels of where our digital world is and is going.
SO MANY CHALLENGES FOR SO MANY:
I know from hearing from some of you, as well from my own experience and that of friends and family, that these are challenging times for most of us. That so very many of us are all going through major life changes of all sorts during these past few years, and continuing for a while yet to come.
This is the nature of things during this time in history that we’re living… one of monumental changes. We’re being pummeled by massive waves of change that we all need to learn to surf.
THE FUTURE IS OPEN ENDED:
So while we created a tremendous amount of content around our goal of conscious creation and mindset, we haven’t yet succeeded at the business side of opportunities and support for creators. Fortunately, others are doing this, many of which we’ve shared here over the years, so there are practiced and successful writers and artists to follow for this.
Meanwhile, Devani and I — as with many of you — each remain receptive to the open doors of opportunity before us. We carry on creating each day amidst steadily adjusting our barometer to account for the “weather” of life in this rapidly changing world.
A NEED:
And yet we still see a need for helping ourselves and other creators expand our capacity while discovering greater opportunities to learn and grow as artists and as conscious creators of the art of our life.
We don’t have the answers but we have an open mind and heart and are here to serve as best we may and enjoy the journey of discovery along with you.
