In case you missed yesterday’s email about a “Maker Making It” there are tips for selling, laser crafting equipment (if that’s your interest) and also tips for selling on Etsy, plus a wholesale marketplace that’s “like an Etsy for wholesaling.”
Successful Etsy seller, Lizz Porter, says,
“It doesn’t take much to open an Etsy shop. It takes an email address and an internet connection and an idea. If you’re thinking about starting a business, Etsy makes it really easy.”

WHY CREATE A BUSINESS OR SELL YOUR ART?
Supplemental Income
It’s another way to supplement your present and future income and retirement while doing work you love to do.
Stay Younger
Creating and exploring new territories of endeavor keeps our brains active, agile and adaptive, which is another way to stay younger.
Not Technical?
Yesterday, a lady asked how to get more reach for her Facebook page. I spent the time to answer her question at length.
(NOTE: That post is pasted below at the end of this email, for anyone in our community who may have that same question).
Her response was “Sounds complicated; I’m not technical.”
Not Born That Way
Well, none of us were (anything skill related) until we learned it… often in the process, such as at school, on the job training, driving, parenting.
We don’t start out knowing a new thing, we learn it.
Tech is Here to Stay
Technology isn’t going away and it is becoming increasingly integrated into our lives. Not learning it because it's like a foreign language won’t reduce our need for it. Rather, it will only increase our frustration over not knowing or understanding it.
When in Rome
When moving to a new country, it’s vastly better to learn the language. This earthship is moving to a new world called TECH. Humanity is collectively heading there… It is our present and our future.
Vastly better to learn enough of the language to get by.
Not Mechanical Either
Most of us drive cars without knowing how to fix a car, or even how it all works, other than a vague idea. It’s the same with technology. We don’t have to be a techie to “drive” an online business or tool, any more than we have to be a mechanic to drive a car. We just need to learn how to drive and then practice regularly.
Don’t let “not technical” stop you. It didn’t stop you from driving or doing anything else that you now know how to do.
Never let not knowing stop you from learning how, if that means progress toward your goals.
Here's the link to this as an article-in-progress, should you wish to share it.
The day is the way.
